Welcome
For over a century Wales Street Primary School has educated the children of this community. The school proudly represents a broad range of cultural backgrounds that contribute to the unique character of Wales Street.
We see education as a partnership between home and school. We believe that every child is an individual and has the right to learn in a safe, happy environment. Our programs aim to provide an equal opportunity for all children to achieve and belong to a friendly and caring community.

Wales Street Charter 2003 -2005
In consultation with our parent community, students and staff we have developed a new school charter to guide our school over the next three years. We have identified the values we all share and have formed a vision for our future development.
Our charter outlines our priorites goals and expectations. It also enables us to work together as a learning organisation to develop and grow.
Please feel free to discuss any aspects of the charter your child's class teacher, School Leaders or School Councillors.
