Supporting our great Fete
The Wales Street Fete is made possible with help from an incredible network of local businesses and supporters. Next time you’re out and about, why not pop in and thank them?

Our community supporters
Wales Street Primary School gratefully acknowledges the generous support of our community partners.
Nelson Alexander
Next time you pass a Nelson Alexander office, why not pop in and say thank you from Wales Street Primary School. Not only have they been great supporters of our school fete (funding last year’s extremely popular Spin Art stall and helping us to promote the event), we were also the very lucky recipients of a Nelson Alexander Foundation Day grant in 2019. The grant helped us create our brightly painted sensory and learning trail, and upgrade a series of other playground markings.
Lions Club of Northcote
We love Melbourne, but it’s true that you never know what the weather is going throw at you. These days, we’ve got some extra protection from the elements thanks to the installation of three new shade umbrellas (which, incidentally, also keep the rain at bay).
We received substantial funding from the Lions Club of Northcote with the Australian Lions Foundation, and were able to team this with proceeds from our 2018 Fete Raffle to make it happen. The Lions Club of Northcote continues to support Wales Street in other ways too – supporting community events by volunteering to run the sausage sizzles that keep us all coming back for more.
Thornbury Bowls Club
Our sincere thanks go to the Thornbury Bowls Club, who each year generously support our Grade 6 achievement awards. Vouchers of $150 each are awarded to two students for achieving excellence in their final year of primary school.
A representative of Thornbury Bowls Club attends our formal Grade 6 Graduation night to present the awards to two very deserving recipients.
