Supporting resilience, confidence and independence

STUDENT WELFARE

We believe all of our students should feel safe and comfortable in the school setting, and be free to explore and develop their potential. We have a range of mechanisms in place to help support the wellbeing of our students in the school setting.

SCHOOL NURSE

Wales Street Primary School employs a Registered Nurse with nursing experience, from 10AM until 2.30PM Monday to Friday, (covering both recess and lunchtime).

If your child requires medication at school, such as antibiotics, please complete and return the Short Term Medication Form to the School Office, along with the medication required.

LUNCH CLUBS

Lunch clubs provide opportunities for both enrichment and support, especially for students who may struggle with long lunchtime breaks in the yard. No sign-up required, and students are welcome to attend as often and as many clubs as they like. Clubs typically run from 1:25-1:50 daily.

SCHOOL CAMPS

Our camping program is organised for students in grades 4-6. Camp venues are rotated each year so that children can attend a camp each year and still have a different experience.
